Our Team

Nutshell has two key directors, Anton Turner and Wendy Cooper, and a cast of many associates.  We have found, like many other qual agencies that a network of specialists and consultants work well.

Directors

Dr Anton Turner
Background: 18 years experience in qualitative research.  Previously worked as a research director at What If, Directions and Box of Crayons.  Has worked in New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada and the UK as a qualitative research director.  Holds a PhD in psychological approaches to qualitative research, but don’t ask him about it unless you are having trouble sleeping.

Wendy Cooper
Background: 12 years experience in research.  Previously at NOP and MVA.  Has developed and conducted qual research in the UK, USA and Canada. Holds a Masters in Branding, and is very Scottish.  Also bakes cakes on demand.

Creative Consultant Profile:  Michael Bungay Stanier is an internationally renowned creative thinker and facilitator.  Michael seems to win awards for everything he does (not least his website www.boxofcrayons.biz) and is the co-creator of Nutshell’s 120 enabling techniques.  If we are stuck, or indeed if anyone is stuck, they should talk to Michael.  He is also Australian, but we don’t talk about that.
